Update 4

Hi to all,

I would like to use this place to again apologize for the delay of our Update 4. We had to face several problems with a planned extension, which ultimately made a new version inevitable. This version is now complete and is been tested for the last two days, it will be cleared shortly.

Like every year, the main focus of update 4 is on the database. It has been updated with all winter transfers from all countries. Several thousand transfers and player level updates have been made.

As a special tidbit we can present new English Premier League player pictures, all being up-to-date and in top notch quality. Altogether, the update contains more than 800 new photos.

Furthermore, many small extras are waiting to be discovered, ranging from new desk objects, new desk backgrounds to a new option which allows you to double click on a widget name and thereby directly enter the respective screen.

Additionally, some bugs were fixed, among others the crash due to long Found-a-Club mode names as well as a further 3D crash, and the trophy loss during (very seldom) server problems. After the release of Update 4, we will start to release regular news on FIFA MANAGER 11, which means constant updates of this blog like announced before.

All new information on FIFA MANAGER 11 will then first be released on this website (and only afterwards on our Facebook page). That way our website will again be the center for first hand information on FIFA MANAGER 11.

Update 4 will be delayed by about one week. We have found two bugs that we want to fix before the release (3D match / Online mode).

Team Update

Hi to all,

The preparations for update 4 are running (Naturally, the database team is particularly affected), but we are also deep in the planning phase for FIFA MANAGER 11.

The essential decisions concerning the upcoming works have been made and it will be an exciting anniversary year for all FIFA MANAGER fans.

As of March, the Blog will again be updated almost daily, so you will be informed about the development progress in detail. FIFA MANAGER 11 will actually be the tenth Manager developed by us. With Thomas, Bernhard, Michael and myself, we still have four guys from the very beginning (FM 2002, TCM 2003, LFP MANAGER 2003) who have been working on FIFA MANAGER ever since, which is probably very rare in this industry.

Perhaps there are also some of you who have been playing FIFA MANAGER since day 1, who accompanied us since the very start. We would be very happy if you would contact us (via forum or facebook) or maybe even post a picture with you and the games!

For now, we are satisfied that we exceeded the 3,000 fans mark on Facebook. We are updating the page daily and we will offer even more content and news in the future. So stay tuned, and if you are no fan yet, simply click on the facebook box on your right.

Update 3

Hi All,

Update 3 is live. Sorry for the delay, but we hope you'll like the result.

For Update 4 we'll now focus on the database (as usual for our 4th update). It is planned to release it in mid-February.

This is the complete list of all new features and bug fixes in Update 3 (no responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information):

- option to display the live ticker sentence by sentence
- option to display the live ticker word by word
- finished matches in live ticker now change their colour
- no commentary in live ticker conference mode
- massive increase of UK player pictures and of the XXL pictures (1,786 new pictures, 200 additional XXL pictures)
- many additional city pictures (103) and 332 clubs with a new picture
- Ups & Downs reworked and now more difficult
- added reserve leagues to various countries (Bulgaria etc.)
- option to lock players on the scouting list (excludes them from Delete All)
- option to scout a whole list of players (up to 20) with one click (no drag&drop of every single player required)
- original shirts in the 3rd Division and in the regional leagues of Germany
- ONLINE: Goals and ratings are displayed on the player info screen, additional warnings
- ONLINE: New player condition tooltip
- ONLINE: Extension of the highscore list to 50,000 players

Bug Fixes:

- CaC bug in Portugal fixed
- contract offers for players with a remaining contract longer than 6 months no longer possible
- less talent changes for highly talented players, more changes for player with less talent
- maximum 10-years contract at Game Start
- colours now work in the stadium editor
- fan banners issues solved in the stadium editor
- height and weight of the player manager work correctly
- problem with the Champions Cup screen (crash team>personal life) fixed
- overlapping Line-up screen in the 3D match fixed (still opens for injuries)
- less penalties in the 3D match
- less handballs in the 3D match
- goalkeepers not as good as after Update 2
- Shift feature for player suggestions during half-time
- Hall of Fame rule (options) now working

In the future we'll improve our service on this website again. With the exceptions of answers to questions on Facebook and the Twitter feeds (which you can see on this webpage as well), the news and the blog will be the best sources for the lastest information on FIFA MANAGER.

Update 3 - Online Fixes

A frosty hello to all out there!

Last message before Xmas: these are the fixes that have been prepared in Update 3 for the Online mode:

 

- Wrong transfer message, if player already changed clubs once.

- Not possible to create an account with birth year > 1997.

- Several trophy-related problems.

- Skipping cup draws when no users are participating anymore.

- Problems with the AFK-button if the automatic confirmation message to leave the main menu was activated.

- Manager points comparison could not be skipped with AFK-button.

- Empty dismissal screen for wrong players.

- Missing picture after winning Champions Cup.

- Home advantage in cup final.

- Friend list can now be sorted by points.

- Display of home matches before cup draw.

- Wrong generation of youth players.

- Wrong rating calculation for brought on players.

- Improved status message when joining and existing game.

- Seldom hang in post match effects screen.

- Fixed two seldom crashes.
